PLC Integration at Unit 300 Demin Plant

It is proposed to integrate the I/O signals from the current Mitsubishi PLCs (i.e. stream A and B controllers, and the RO stream controller) into the existing Honeywell DCS at unit 100 (NAP). The distance from the current PLCs to the NAP rack room is roughly 1000m.
With the proposed solution, production will be able to monitor the process in the demineralised plant from the existing Experion stations at the nitric acid plant. This will enable the control of the demineralisation streams and RO plant into controllers which are currently supported by the OEM, have good spares availability and internal support.
